Our new son...

Well, after quite a bit of coaxing Adam, we finally got a dog! His name is Greco. He is a 3 year old, chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix. He is absolutely adorable, and quite a mama's boy I must say. I was a little worried about being able to love another dog as much as I loved Prissy, my pekingnese I put to sleep a year and a 1/2 ago. But it isn't like that. I love him in a different way-he doesn't replace Pris at all. It is so good to have Greco to keep me company when Adam is gone. He is soooo cute and keeps me highly entertained!!!

And...it's over.

Well, it is over. The wedding anyway. Actually, it was over like, 3 weeks ago or something. I am not really on the ball with my blog huh?
Sooo...the wedding was beautiful. Just everything I had envisioned. We had such a great time and it all looked wonderful. The pictures are n the way so that everyone else can see how pretty it was too. Quite honestly, it was just the perfect day.
Adam and I have settled into married life pretty well, I'd say. We are living in Hixson now. Adam is traveling and I am usually going with him-about every other trip---I am not sure that the band life is the life for me. But I DO enjoy getting to see Adam play, so it does make it worth it.
I was afraid I would have lots of trouble adjusting to married life. Although there have been certain adjustments, it has been an easier transition for me that I thought. I won't lie though-there's been a couple of nights I have cried to Adam about missing my family. That part has been tough. But he is understanding, and it makes it better.
All in all, marriage is going quite well and I am LOVING it!

Soakin up the rays....

So Adam and I are in Cozumel. We are officially married and on our most amazing honeymoon. The weather is great and things are so much fun. We have a pimp room and are enjoying every second of it.
The wedding was gorgeous-just what I imagined it to be. I was so touched to see all the people that came out to our wedding.

Ok, back to the sun!

And the countdown is on...

Well, not that it wasn't before. But now the countdown is OFFICIALLY on! Yesterday marked the final day of school. And though I have to work next week Monday-Thursday, my kids are gone, so the strenuous days are over. Which means, I am really counting down the days until the wedding, which as of today are SIX! Yes, SIX!
It literally boggles my mind that in 6 days I will be a married woman. Somehow that just does not seem like it could be true. But it really is and I am so excited. I go back and forth between nervous and excited, and today is an excited day! I have been packing for the honeymoon and the day of the wedding and it just kind of gets me pumped.

I hope to see everyone there!

Licensed to Wed

So, today Adam and I got licensed to wed! YIKES! It was much easier than I thought except for my social security card that I needed deciding to put itself somewhere where I couldn't find it the night before I needed it! That jerk. But it turned out that I was able to use something else, so it worked out. And now..watch out! We have a license!!!

So it is officially 18 days and counting. EEEEK! I think I am finding the hardest thing to do right now is to take one day at a time, and cross things one by one off my to do list. I have MAJOR difficulty with things of this nature. I always think to myself that if I have a few spare moments, I can get something done, but all that results in is being exhausted because I am doing something constantly.
To be honest, I am not sure that I would do the wedding thing all over again if I had to. It has been way more work and stress than I would have liked. Not that I would not want to celebrate our big day, but at this point, I am not sure that having something small, then having someone throw a huge party wouldn't have been better. But it's hard to think in those terms when you are looking at bridal magazines and they have such cute and pretty stuff. CURSE THEM!
So, school is winding down-only 8 more days to go (well, 7 after today). It is crazy, but this year has really flown by-except for these last few days-they are draaaaaaaaaaaging! I am hoping that they will pick up the pace a bit and I can get to my wedding day. I am SOOOO READY for it to be here!!!!

Just an update...

So it is crazy to think about, but our wedding is only 5 weeks away. For a while there, I was really stressed and bogged down with things to do, but thank to some help from my friends and some awesome showers, I am feeling like more things are done and am really getting excited.
Adam has been touring and is very busy with that. He is gone most of the time. At most right now, he his home about 1-2 days a week, sometimes not even that. The guys have been in Nashville for the past 4 weeks recording their newest album that is due out in September (you better go buy it-I want a new pair of shoes! :o) )
I am just busy trying to hang in there these last few days of school. As of Monday, we will only have 18 days left of school-it's just crazy to think about! I will miss my kids, but I am definitely looking forward to the year being over so that I can get married!
Other than that, things are great. This month has been busy, as there is another band member getting married. We have had showers and parties, not to mention birthday celebrations, graduations, and new births within "the posse" as I call them. My wedding will mark the dying down of all the festivities, although there is another band member wedding in September. We roll deep and we do all celebrations for each other. This not only includes the band, but other couples, friend, and family that are somehow connected to a band member. It's a big group of us that always roll together. About 10-15 I'd say. So, needless to say, it's been CRAZY and I think we are all ready for a break! Of coure that won't happen for another 5 weeks....

Here are some of engagement pictures. Jamie Pearson Photography

God Bless Spring Break!

I am so glad that Spring Break exists! This year I was able to get so much completed. I did programs, gifts, centerpieces, invitations, and other small things. Now that I have some stuff finished, I am having some more time to be excited. And boy, am I!
I am getting more and more pumped about the wedding. What an exciting time, to be getting ready to marry the one that you love for than anything! Adam is such an amazing guy and I could not be any happier!

Blog #1

I thought it might be fun for Adam and I to have a blog. Though we are not officially "The Rowes" yet, I decided to set us up a blog anyway.

So it is now only about 40 something days til the wedding. Speaking for myself, :o), it is very exciting. Many may know that I have been buried in a mound of wedding fury! Ribbons, boxes, paper, candles, invitation, you name it! I have begun to have much appreciation for those who have done this in any fashion before. It is a TON of work!

Next weekend will be my first ever bridal shower and I am really excited. I think that have been finishing up some of this smaller stuff and now it is time to enjoy some of the great things that come along with getting married.

Right now, Adam is busy with touring. He is gone for the weekend to Florida-some guys have all the luck! :o)

I am excited that you are reading our blog. Please keep checking back with us, as I plan to keep this thing as updated as possible.
